The documentary
The Mountain Runners tells the story of the Mount Baker Marathons of 1911–1913, when special steam trains and modified early automobiles carried competitors toward Mount Baker before the men raced on foot across punishing mountain terrain.
The docudrama combines vintage photographs, historic film, graphics, visual effects and recreated dramatizations. Kevin Tighe narrates, with William B. Davis appearing as Henry Engberg.
